Webinar: Introduction to India BIS: Key Concepts and Essentials
The webinar will be presented by REACHLaw, the first in a series of three planned webinars covering chemical regulation in India.
Webinar Overview
This exclusive webinar will provide valuable insights into the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Act 2016, its regulations and certification. BIS Certification is required by the manufacturer (Indian or overseas) of products in scope of Scheme I, that wishes to maintain or access the Indian market. Scheme I contains the products that require mandatory India BIS Certification.
This session will focus on chemicals listed on Scheme I, with REACHLaw presenting the following:
- Introduction to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
- What is BIS Certification & who needs to comply?
- When is BIS Certification required & why is BIS Certification important?
- BIS Certification for foreign manufacturers & role of Authorised India Representative.
- Challenges in BIS compliance & recent updates.
Who Should Attend?
The webinar will be of value to companies located outside of India, exporting chemicals listed on Scheme I to the Indian market. By attending this webinar series, you will learn the essentials of obtaining a BIS license and ensure your chemical products comply with necessary regulatory standards for market entry into India.
The webinar will therefore be of interest to those involved, or planning to be involved in the supply of chemicals to India.
This webinar will provide a valuable opportunity to increase your understanding of India's regulatory environment and get answers to your specific BIS-related questions.
Please note: On this occasion no slides will be made available to members after the webinar. The webinar recording will be made available as normal.
