Webinar: An Introduction To In Silico Toxicology – (Q)SAR And Read-Across
We are delighted to bring you this webinar, to be presented by Dr. Elena Fioravanzo, of ToxNavigation Ltd.
With regulators encouraging the reduction of in vivo tests according to the principles of the 3Rs, in silico methods are increasingly being employed. It is generally a cost-effective option to use as alternative to test data, as a part of the weight-of-evidence in regulatory submissions or when synthesis of a complex test material is not feasible.
This webinar will provide a brief introduction to the in silico toxicology methods used for regulatory purposes and will include:
Our Presenter: Dr. Elena Fioravanzo
Elena has over 30 years’ experience in computational chemistry and for the last decade has specialised in computational toxicology. She has participated on funded scientific projects on behalf of regulatory bodies such as EFSA and ECHA as well as worked on projects sponsored by industry collaborations (e.g. Cosmetics Europe). She has presented at national and international conferences and has published 35 papers and 85 posters. She is the founder and Managing Director of ToxNavigation Ltd.
ToxNavigation Ltd. is a UK company specialised in providing on-line, classroom and bespoke training courses for in silico toxicology. They also provide computational toxicology consultancy to companies, regulatory consultants and toxicologists. www.toxnavigation.com.
