About The Role:

LANXESS UK is currently seeking a motivated and talented individual with the appropriate experience for the position of Product Compliance Specialist

As an Expert in Hazard Communication, the main task of the role is to ensure that all product safety information and documents are correctly maintained in the various systems. Adhering to all relevant product safety regulations for the specified Business units the focus is on maintaining EHS data and the release of associated global SDS (excluding American regions) – at product level. All activities must be performed in multiple SAP systems and SharePoint sites. As a subject matter expert, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support product compliance.

As a subject matter expert for UK hazard communication monitor changes in the legislation as result of the developing UK REACH & Brexit situation and communicate regularly to the wider PTSE organisation.

About You:

You will have the following experience:

  • Experience in a similar role in a connected industry
  • Good level of experience of Hazard Communication of global chemical regulations for chemicals used.
  • Understanding of the role and interaction with external peer collaborations, regulatory authorities and chemical associations.
  • Ability to network with business contacts, excellent communication skills and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Develop an analytical understanding of business processes and application to product safety.
  • A good understanding of the use of IT solutions e.g. SAP EHSM. Use of IT applications on a day-to-day basis.
  • Project Management experience desirable
  • International experience desirable

        Annex VIII of GB CLP - Update

        ECHA Calls For Evidence On Skin Sensitisers In Consumer Mixtures
        The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) are calling for evidence on skin sensitisers in consumer mixtures.         Multilateral Agreement M345
        The United Kingdom has countersigned Multilateral Special Agreement 345 concerning the transport of UN 2672 ammonia solution in IBCs with a vapour pressure of more than 110 kPa (1.1 bar) at 50oC or 130 kPa (1.3 bar) at 55oC.         Endocrine Disruptors - 1st CHCS Video
